REALITY BITES TRY VIRTUAL!

V irtual reality . These two simple words have a different effect on different people. Some are excited for what could be possible, others are terrified for what could be possible . . . still others are simply waiting for what could be possible. I for one am excited. Having grown up amidst MMOGs (I’m 13) my normal is playing, learning, and being social across the boundaries of technology. I have friends I’ve never met in person all around the world. I sell character backstories in an online shop within a game. One of my most proud moments was hitting the lederboard of a virtual rap war. The future is shaping itself as we speak and we don’t know what it will look like: Will the state of reality be redefined or replaced? Will it save lives or fill them - or perhaps, empty them? Now that such technology exists (albeit simple), we may begin to look for ourselves, gazing into our headsets of possiblity.
