CONVERTIBLE CAR SEATS

The convertible car seat is the step up from the Infant. At about 12 months or so, baby will graduate to this bigger, heavier seat. The convertible is so called because it can be installed rear or forward facing. Remember, rear facing is safest, so be sure to have baby facing back as long as possible! Although the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends having kids rear facing to at least age 2, many seats allow them to do so until age 4.
