Babesta Beat AW 2014
Eat play Love Style setting twins about town Tristin & Tyler tell us their favorite spots in NYC and what they love about being city kids. I f you don ’ t follow Tristin & Tyler Tales from the City blog and video series, you are missing out. The twins take a cool, crafty and eco spin on the city for kids. They may be interviewing celebs, like chef Giada De Laurentiis or Nickelodeon’s Reed Alexander, hosting kids fashion show Petite Parade, or pushing up their sleeves for a cool craft. And whatever they’re doing, they’re doing it with style—drop crotch pants, concert tees, Dr. Martens, you name it. We got to catch up with them right before back-to school to get the scoop on where the fun’s at, in the Big Apple! Where do you love to EAT in New York? TYLER: It’s a food truck! SweeteryNYC. OK—it’s really a sweets truck—but I love it because I got to work on it one day for one of our episodes and that truck is one of the most eco-friendly food trucks out there, not to mention it sells great chunky ice cream sandwiches and Snickerdoodle cookies! Where do you love to PLAY in the city? TRISTIN: We love music and we just had our 10th b-day at Fuzipop, a cool dance party for kids with a kid DJ! Everything glows in the dark, so we wore white to stand out! TYLER: Wave Hill in Riverdale has to be one of my fave places. Each weekend they have free activities and workshops and kids really get into making stuff. One time we made paper from scratch and another time we learned all about how bees make honey and saw it happen. Super cool! What do you LOVE about growing up in the city? TYLER: I love NYC because it’s always alive & there’s always something cool to do! One day we climb rock walls at Brooklyn Boulders and the next we hit an awesome street fair. Doesn’t get better than that! Follow more of Tristin & Tyler’s city adventures as they guest blog at Babesta with their series, “Do This, Wear That,” where they’re picking the coolest weekend go-tos and serving up style tips to go-with! I also like Museum of the City of New York because they’re doing awesome activities with graffiti art these days!
